W Hotels Worldwide + Mixloud Present: Future Rising

On Friday November the 4th, Mixcloud in association with W Hotels Worldwide arrived in Dubai as part of the second leg of their Future Rising tour. The tour featured 7 cities around the world, celebrating a new generation of global DJs, artists and curators with talks and parties in each of the cities. To promo this mix we threw together a 30 minute mix of UAE based music which you can listen to below or on the W Hotels Mixcloud page.
The event kicked off in the afternoon with a well attended panel discussion featuring our own big man essarai, extended fam Kev Fresh, and OT from the homies at the Dukkan Show and moderated by Mixcloud co-founder Nikhil Shah discussing the scene in Dubai, it's challenges, perks, highs, lows and diversity.
The afterparty was also another success, despite some minor issues from the venue, with the 264's Finlay Lefox on warm-up duties, PYRMDPLAZA playing a selection of soul and beats, followed by the return of our Karak Beats #018 Soulection friend from Amsterdam, none other than Jarreau Vandal!
